A private equestrian Estate

A place between the oaks.

II.
the estate

A place that refused
to be hurried.

El Jaral was not built so much as woken. Stone by stone, at its own pace — the walls kept, the years of waiting cleared away, the forest left to carry on past the fence line as it always has. The estate has known great days before. It is simply having them again.

Six hectares inside the Parque Regional, below the Castillo de Aulencia, on the banks of the Aulencia. Forty boxes, and horses that have lived well here for a long time. They still do.

the lawn

A place to sit
while they ride..

In front of the arena, a lawn under the pines — the odd oak, acer, magnolia. Benches and stands for anyone who wants to watch the riders, or simply sit in the shade while the day goes by. No hurry, no reason needed.

Nala

Every estate has someone who truly runs it. Here it is an Irish Setter who believes the trails are hers. She is, on the evidence, correct.

The Lawn

Beneath the pines, in front of the pista: benches and stands where you sit and watch the riders. Six hectares of shade, trails all around the finca, and the forest below following the Aulencia.
